Who pays for what when you seperate in the uk I want to leave my wife of 7yrs we have been together for 20yrs?

I work full time my wife works part time on a low wage I claim tax credits and have always paid for everything The mortgage is in my name only as I bought the house before I met my wife I want my wife and daughter age 7 to stay in the house but cant afford to pay for everything and my own new accommodation as well can she claim housing benefit or income support if I leave? She wants us to seperate too we just need to know how to financially

    Go to C.A.B it sounds like this could be amicable, which is nice for a change. What you could always do is have them rent the place and her housing benefit pay the rent, that way she and your child stays in the house.
